Consulting and Speaking Engagements
Hayley offers consultation services and is available for speaking engagements, guest lectures, panels, webinars, and workshops on topics related to vaping, tobacco control, addiction studies, public health policy, health equity, qualitative research, and inclusive health services. She has presented at national and international conferences, including the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco, and has delivered invited talks on youth vaping, e-cigarette research, and smoking cessation.Her consultation work supports students, researchers, organizations, and community groups with research, policy analysis, academic writing, literature reviews, grant preparation, knowledge translation, data collection, concept mapping, literature and jurisdictional scans, and the development of accessible, evidence-informed health resources. Across both her speaking and consultation work, Hayley combines academic expertise with practical, accessible communication and a strong equity lens to support students, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community audiences.

About
Hayley Pelletier (she/her), is a PhD candidate in public policy at the University of Saskatchewan's Johnson Shoyama School of Public Policy.Her work sits at the intersection of public policy, public health regulations, qualitative methods, and health systems research, with a strong focus on translating evidence into meaningful policy and practice change.Hayley has over a decade of research experience across academic, government, and health system settings, including the University of Saskatchewan, University of Toronto, Ontario Tobacco Research Unit, CAMH, and Agriculture and Agri-foods Canada. Her research has examined tobacco and vaping regulations, mental health and addictions, primary and rural health care, and patient-oriented research, and has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Addictive Behaviors, BMJ Open, and Health Research Policy and Systems.Through her practice, research, and consultation, Hayley advocates for LGBTQ+ and Indigenous rights and works to improve the accessibility of services that are safe, inclusive, culturally responsive, and affirming.Outside of her research, consultation, and advocacy work, Hayley is a mom to two boys and enjoys spending time with her family. She is also an avid reader, a swimming enthusiast, and someone who finds joy and balance in nature walks and watching documentaries. These parts of her life inform the care, curiosity, and grounded perspective she brings to her work and relationships.
